Do you know what this is? It’s the skin of an immature cucumber, magnified 800 times. The spiny structures are called “trichomes” and protect the vegetable from hungry herbivores.

This is my first tattoo, it took a little over 2 hours to do, not as painful as I imagine. It’s a stylized portrait of Twiggy Lawson who I sort of idolize, I like her aesthetics, her style, and just everything about her which screams “retro starlet!”. I want more starlets from the ’50s and ’60s.
It also has a silly meaning to me, as Twiggy was famous for being extremely thin for a model at the time and criticized for it, I am also extremely thin (5’10 and 112 lbs) so to have ‘Twiggy’ on my very twig-like arm is a kind of nice meaning, to me at least.
